Directions to the Church

From New Jersey Turnpike - (Route 95) Take the Turnpike to Exit 9 (New Brunswick). After toll booth, bear left, following signs to East Brunswick and South River (Route 18 South). Follow Route 18 South for approximately 3.3 miles to Arthur St. exit. Then follow the local directions listed below.

From Garden State Parkway - Take Exit 129 (Route 1 South). Follow Route 1 South for about 10 miles to Route 18 South (South River and East Brunswick). Exit is just beyond Loew's Theater and Raritan River (Morris Goodkind) Bridge. Follow Route 18 South for about 4.1 miles to Arthur St. exit. Then follow the local directions listed below.

Bus from New York City - Suburban Transit Bus (Gates 420-424) from the Port Authority Bus Terminal (8th Avenue and 41st Street) to the East Brunswick PNC Bank Tower Center/Transportation Center. This is the first stop immediately after leaving the New Jersey Turnpike. Bus leaves every 1/2 hour and takes about 45 minutes one way.

Car from New York City - Take the Lincoln or Holland Tunnels or the George Washington Bridge from Manhattan to the New Jersey Turnpike South and follow directions above. Take the Goethals Bridge from Staten Island to Exit 13 of the New Jersey Turnpike and travel south along the Turnpike as outlined above. Or take the Outerbridge Crossing from Staten Island and follow signs for the New Jersey Turnpike South as outlined above.

From Newark Airport - Follow signs to New Jersey Turnpike (Route 95) South at Exit 13A and refer to directions above.

Local Directions - From Arthur St. exit, make a left onto Arthur St. After the traffic light, follow Arthur St. for 3 blocks to the Old Bridge Turnpike. Make a right onto Old Bridge Turnpike and an immediate left onto Kamm Avenue. Follow Kamm Avenue for about one mile to its terminus at the stop sign (intersection of Kamm Avenue and Whitehead Avenue). Turn left onto Whitehead Ave. After 3 blocks you will see the Church on the left.

FOOD CARD PROGRAM : Food cards are available for various supermarket chains after Divine Liturgy, and do not cost any more than the face value of the card. The church receives a percentage as a free fundraiser! See Judy Znaiden in church or at jznaiden@optonline.net.
 
The Altar Society  is hosting an Atlantic City Bus Trip to the Resorts Hotel and Casino on  Thursday, Sept. 21st.  Cost is $35.00 per person, which includes a bag lunch and $15 in slot play. The bus will depart from the church parking lot on Whitehead Avenue at 9:00AM sharp. Enjoy the late summer weather with a stroll along the boardwalk, shopping on the peir and/or playing your favorite casino games. There is limited seating available; for reservations and info, contact Sonja Harris-Neumyer (732-501-7365) or Elaine Mazzei (732-254-5815).
 
The Senior R Club will be holding its Annual Oktoberfest Party in the parish hall on Saturday, October 21, starting at 6PM. (NOTE: Vespers with General Confession will be served at 5PM) Authentic German food will be served, along with live music and dancing, featuring a real Oom-Pa-Pa band. Tickets for this BYOB event are $30.00 for adults and $15.00 for children ages 12 and under; they are now available from any Club member.
 
Our Archbishop MICHAEL is scheduled to make an Archpastoral Visit on Sat-Sun, Oct 14-15,  for a dual celebration; the 25th anniversary of Father David's ordination to the priesthood and his 25 years as our rector. There will be a festal meal in the church hall, hosted by Parish Council, following Divine Liturgy on Sunday; see Starosta or Anastasia Essl for assistance in set-up and/or clean-up. It is important that we all attempt to make Vladika's visitation an important aspect of our lives; please put these dates aside and participate in this momentous occasion for our God-protected community and its pastor.
 
SAVE THE DATE.... Our Annual Fall Festival will be here before you know it! As always, this event will only be a success through the work of volunteers, Co-chairpeople Rebecca Kozak and Deborah Silowka have already started planning for this big event. EVERYONE is encouraged to come and help; let's make this one of the best fellowship ministries and fundraisers we have ever offered. The more people pitching in, the more fun it is! Mark you calendar now for Saturday, October 28th,  and keep checking the bulletin for more info on volunteering, cooking, baking and donating.
